Sarah immediately gave Mr Fredrick a call to inform him about the dinner with her father.
She asked him to come home early.
After she informed the house-helps about his visit also so as to prepare.
Everybody was busy keeping the house in order to avoid being scold by Sarah.
Around 6pm Mr Fredrick came home.
He greeted his wife and went upstairs to freshen up.
“He is here” one of the house-helps reported it to Sarah around 6:30pm.
“Elisha, go and call your dad. Tell him father is in”
“Alright mom”
He immediately went upstairs to inform his dad about grandfather’s arrival.
“Alright, lets go”
The father and son came down together. “Hello, father in-law . How are you doing “ mr Fredrick greeted as soon as he came down and saw him.
“I am fine, son”
Mr Fredrick joined them on the sofa. They chatted for a while.
“So how is the hospital doing recently. I heard there is a disease outbreak there“ father asked Fredrick.
“Yes, but it is under control for now. We are still working on the drug to cure it before it spread”
“ You should be careful not to get infected because there are little ones here” father said to Fredrick.
“Sure, I will be careful”
“Please , dinner is ready “ Maria came to inform the family.
“Alright “
“Father, let’s go and eat” Sarah said.
The family went to the dining room for their meal.
There was total silence in the dining room.
“Grandpa” Deon muttered
“Yes darling, any problem “
“Daddy has brought us a brother “
The dining room went silent after Deon spoke.
“Darling, what do you mean by that”
“Father in-law, it is a child whose mother has died through childbirth that I brought home since no one wanted to take care of him” Fredrick explained to the father in-law.
(Did I misjudged him. Well it is not my fault, any woman in my shoes will do the same thing) Sarah thought whiles stabbing her food absent minded.
“Sarah!!!” Mr Joshua, Sarah’s father called her when he saw her being absent minded.
“Yes,yes” Sarah answered hurriedly.
“I was asking if you are okay with the child your husband brought home “
“Of course “ Sarah lied beautifully through her teeth without feeling any guilt. Fredrick and the kids were all shocked at Sarah’s lie.
“Then, it is fine. What is his name and where is he”
“ I haven’t named him yet but I have a name for him” Fredrick answered.
“Okay, what name do you have in mind and how old is he” mr Joshua kept on asking questions.
“I want to name him SHINE. He is a month old” mr Fredrick replied calmly.
“ That is good. You should do that and add him to the family. After the meal, I would like to meet him”
“Alright, father in-law “
Sarah was getting angry again because her father was paying too much attention to the baby.
(Why is dad giving him too much attention, that child is a curse. He has already taken the attention of the people who love my kids and I. Should I kill him to avoid any misunderstanding in my family). Sarah kept thinking evil. She has always gotten the love and attention in her family since childhood so she is not happy about the change of event.
“Sarah!!!” Mr Joshua shouted at her to get her attention ones again.
“ YES” she responded aloud.
“Are you okay, you have been absent minded since we started this conversation” Mr Joshua asked.
Everybody turned to look at her waiting for her reply. She was amused by their gaze. (Was I absent minded for long) she thought ones again.
She doesn’t want to get on her father’s bad side so she said “ I am fine, dad”.
Mr Fredrick raise a brow and looked at her in an amusement. (My wife is a good actress. Well, it is fine as far as Shine can stay in the house with us).
“I guess we are done here so let’s pay the new member a visit “ Mr Joshua said.
“Alright “ Fredrick agreed without hesitation.
The kids were not impressed by their grandfather and father’s suggestion. Just like their mother, they felt unloved by them. So they began to hate Shine as well.
POV: That’s quite a dramatic turn of events during the dinner! It seems like there's a lot going on with Mr. Frederick and his family. It's important for them to have open and honest communication to address these unexpected situations.
