Blanca lifted herself off the ground. The chairs had been flipped and broken. The makeshift isle broken. Matteo grabbed her face and examined her before pulling her to his chest.
‘What the hell happened?’ Matteo shouted.
‘They took Gianna… and Franz—’ Blanca pointed at the man under the wooden stand.
Matteo kicked the stand aside and hauled Franz to a plastic chair. Franz groaned, a large red bump breathed on his forehead.
‘Matteo!’ David's hand landed on Matteo's shoulder moments later. Matteo pulled him into a hug. He looked up at the dark sky and sighed.
‘Damn it, where have you been?’
‘Cam's hurt. He was attacked by a beast in West Bayern Road.’
Matteo and David placed Franz's arms on their shoulders and dragged the semi conscious man back to the house.
‘What happened?!’ Matteo spat.
‘The tunnel in Coven Cove was shut!’ David groaned as the hurried up the stairs.
‘s**t, we have to get Gianna back.’ They placed Franz on a sofa.
Cam's screams filled the room. Blanca closed the door behind Cooper and Kyla. She placed a cold pack on Franz’s head. Susanna knelt beside Cam pouring a golden liquid into his side. His blue eyes burned yellow, his claws ripped the cushions. His cries filled the room. Blanca watched as the missing flesh stitched itself together.
‘What is that?’ Blanca asked.
‘Susanna said she made a cure with Gianna's blood.’ David explained.
‘What are we going to do now?’ Debra leaned against the sofa closest to the door. Her skin was pale and she could barely keep herself straight.
‘We find them.’ Matteo said.
‘Those fuckers could be anywhere.’ Karl folded his arms.
‘Not anywhere the castle.’ David chimed in. ‘When we couldn’t get into the tunnel we went to the castle. We thought it would be safe. We saw the beasts swarm there like bees and disappear. Can was hurt before we could leave the grounds.’
‘That’s where their orders are coming from.’ Matteo mumbled. After all this time he would get to stare a wolf charmer in the face before ripping their throat out.
‘How far is it from here?’ Blanca asked. The boys looked at each other.
‘Not far after West Bayern Road.’ Susanna stood up and smiled.
The boys groaned. Cam smacked his forehead. Blanca started for the door. She had to get Gianna back. She had to save her sister. Matteo grabbed her before she could get to the door.
‘What do you think you’re doing?’
‘Saving my sister.’
‘Getting yourself killed.’
‘If anyone can find Gianna it’s me.’ Blanca stormed out the door.
Debra, Franz and Cam remained behind to gather their strength if chaos befell the Manor. Matteo remembered his Father training him to be the next Alpha. His hearty laugh blazed through his memories. At least he was at peace, Matteo hoped he found his Mother. He would avenge her death too.

Blanca led the charge, following Gianna’s pink scent trail. The others gave her strange look, but they knew she wasn’t leading them astray.
‘There’s something up with her.’ Karl whispered.
‘I know.’ Matteo mumbled.
When they reached the old castle Matteo pulled Blanca behind him. The brick wall had fallen years ago. They hid in the sea of tall grass. The castle with broken towers and a deformed face sneered at them. It was as quiet as an abandoned cemetery.
‘They’re all here. Gianna’s on the top floor. Others are inside too.’ Blanca placed her hand on her chest.
Kyla raised a brow. ‘How do you know?’
Blanca didn’t take her eyes off the castle standing under the moonlight. You kept everything, but you gave me something, she thought.
‘There’s something underground.’ Matteo said. ‘This was never a fair fight. You either stop here or risk your lives with me.’
The small army didn’t flinch. Retreat wasn’t an option. They either died fighting or let Bayern Road die.
Susanna lifted her hands and the tall grass stretched to the sky, obscuring them completely. Two groups formed. Matteo gripped Bianca’s hand.
‘We’ll get her back.’ He kissed the side of her head.
The castle was silent, but the beasts scent couldn’t escape Blanca. They were waiting and watching. David took Cooper and Susanna behind the castle. Matteo guided the others to the front. With every coming step Blanca heard every swallow, each mumbled, the lift of a dagger and the clicks of silver bullets.
‘Matteo—’
Matteo kicked the door in. Blanca gasped, a red flame filled the room. Laughter sent chills up her spine. The blast hadn’t hurt anyone, just lit up lanterns on the wall.
‘Hansi.’ Matteo uttered.
‘Hansi, you bastard!’ Karl darted forward, but Matteo shoved him back.
Hansi smirked, clapping his hands, he stalked forward. The ragged people behind him scrawled.
‘We meet again little wolf.’ He points to the ceiling. ‘Alpha.’ He bowed.
‘We thought you were dead.’
‘Oh no, but you won’t survive this.’
Hansi’s brown eyes turned yellow, his hair grew inches longer, his claws sprung out of his hands as he ran at Matteo. Matteo shoved his boot into Hansi's chest, sending him smashing through the wall into the next room.
‘End this.’
Clicks and silver flashed in the room. Kyla shoved Matteo out of the way. Bullets went into the wall. Kyla hunched back before her clothes shredded and her wolf leaped onto the man with the gun. A shinning line wrapped round her middle. Kyla roared as the line blasted and sparked.
Hansi shook his head and growled. Karl nodded at his Alpha. Matteo side stepped Hansi who shriveled into a grey wolf. Karl took out the man with the electric rope before Kyla jumped on him.
Out of the shadows hooded soldiers with electric ropes glided in the dark. Karl raced to push Blanca out of the way before a rope could trap her.
‘Get out of here!’ Karl roared, the silver rope blasting around him.
In front of her Matteo kicked and punched the wolf before beginning pushed against the wall. The wolf growled. Blanca gasped. Matteo’s clothes shred and a black wolf two times Hansi’s size appeared.
The masked soldiers stormed the castle. Karl yelled as the rope burned around him. Kyla barked as several hooded men slashed their ropes at her. Matteo whispered as Hansi sank his teeth into his side.
‘No Matteo.’ Blanca backed up against the wall. You kept everything, but gave me something, Blanca thought before she crumbled to her knees Her body sizzled she screamed as her bones cracked and her heart beat faster. Her screams turned into a cold deadly howl.
