31 – Dessert first
Aiden’s POV:
Hailey is lying on her side, tightly pressed against me. Her left leg gracefully drapes over me as her head lies on my shoulder.
Each exhale gently brushes against the spot she marked. Every inhale, she immediately smells my scent. From the moment we lay down, she turned and searched until she found this specific spot.
It wasn’t until we cleaned the kitchen that I noticed how exhausted Hailey was. After some resistance, she finally gave in to her exhaustion. If I wanted her to take some rest, I had to lie down alongside her. I’m keeping my promise by lying next to her, even though I’m working on my phone. By doing this, I’m merging the practical with the enjoyable. To be fair, lying with her like this is not a punishment – at all.
