19 – True Colours
Aiden´s POV:
The longer you interact with someone, the better you can predict their reactions in certain situations. Despite Chris never directly accusing me, I’m aware he thinks I took too much of his father’s time when my father couldn’t bring himself to teach me the tricks of the trade. Though, the way he spoke to Hailey showed a different side of him, one I’d never witnessed before. I can honestly say that I don’t recognise him this way at all. If I had to predict in advance how he would react, this wouldn’t have been my prediction either, but here we are.
Hailey has just walked away to scrub, and Chris is standing here snorting and pacing back and forth. He will wear a hole in the floor from his pacing.
