18 – Move Out Of My Way
Hailey’s POV:
With five minutes left before the appointment with Theo’s doctor, Aiden and I walk out of the elevator towards his room with our fingers intertwined.
With only a few meters to go, all the machines start beeping, and we can hear Hellen’s voice pleading for help. While Aiden runs to the receptionist at the department’s beginning, I enter Theo’s room.
My first reaction is shock. His face and body are now visibly affected by the coma in which he was kept. It doesn’t take long before the doctor in me takes over; I cut myself off from the familiar face and focus on what needs to be done. He’s having a seizure. Foam runs from his mouth as he shakes uncontrollably on the bed. I pull the pillow off his bed and lower the mattress so he is lying flat. Just
