Devin’s POV My study felt stuffy, even the book in my hands felt heavy to hold. Flipping through its pages felt like a tug of war, as I could not understand a single sentence of the things I read. “f**k!” I cursed, leaning my head against the headrest while I stared at the ceiling. The book drop to the table with a thud while my mind wandered, unaware of anything around me. My mind spurned with the thoughts of “Why am I here?” I asked no one in particular as I pushed the chair behind, squeaking, as I tried to get away from it.
