CHAPTER SEVENTY SIX

1424 Words

Dylan’s POV The meeting was a success with a note from Devin which carried an impending battle. I didn’t care either. I did my part for him here. It didn’t mean I’d do anything for him if we were to get engaged in battle immediately. I walked some distance from the meeting room when I heard someone calling. “Dylan, wait.” I turned to see Devin running after me. I stood until he came close. The early morning breeze, light upon my skin. “What do you want?” He waved his hand in front of me as he tried to catch his breath. “I wanted to say thank you,” he said after taking in a deep breath. “I do not need your appreciation.” I said, hoping he’d let me go. “Are we going to continue with the bickering?” He asked, trying to place a hand on my shoulder. I moved away, dodging his hands.
