Once we are all ready we head down to the men waiting for us, among them are Morgan, Taylor, Shaun, my father, and Rico. Ignacio and Adelina will met us there, when the men turn to see us they all gasp and look directly at me.
I’m confused why they aren’t looking at their own women, that is until I turn and realise that everyone left me at the top of the stairs. How I didn’t notice I was walking down alone I don’t know, Morgan steps up and takes one of my hands. Kissing the back of it he says, “I think I speak for everyone when I say, honestly there are no words.” I can feel my blush coming fast.
I look over Morgans shoulder and say, “Wait till you see the rest, when they stop hiding that is!”
I made sure I shouted the last part so they could hear me loud and clear upstairs. I turned back to the stairs when I heard hesitant steps coming our way, when they were all in view they all looked down sheepishly.
I just chuckled and rolled my eyes turning back to Morgan, I look him up and down and smirk, “Shame how tonight will end, with you looking like that I would like a different ending now.” Morgan gulps looking at the girls nervously.
Not everyone knows the plan and if Nora or Sasha found out I would be in big trouble, I chuckle though and lean further into his ear, “Don’t worry their more concerned about if they will meet anyone suitable for them.” Morgan pulls away looking confused.
When the penny drops his face is a picture, he turns to the girls who are looking at something on Nora’s phone, “Hey you two, no funny business tonight got it?” I hold in a giggle as the girls both look at each other confused.
When they see my face their expressions turn shocked and then embarrassed, they then both glare at me before Nora smirked, “I’d be more worried about my stunning fiancé and all the single bad boys, well more than my little sister.”
I glared this time knowing what she has just done, I can almost see the steam coming out of Morgans ears, “That’s it, the party is off.”
I go to protest but Lacey beats me to it, “Nora leave you brother alone, and Morgan grow the f**k up remember who’s arm she is walking in on tonight. Sorry Sirena no disrespect.” I give her a slight nod of understanding.
I then look at Morgan with a raised brow, he huffs looking down at me, “Fine, let’s go before I really do change my mind.”
I chuckle along with everyone else as we head towards our cars. We thought it best to host this party away from any of our homes, instead we have hired a private mansion about thirty minutes away.
Morgan and I go a longer route to the others so we could enter the party when everyone had arrived, it reminded me of my entrance with Enzo and I had to shake those thoughts away.
I can’t afford to go to that dark place right now, everything needed to go without a hitch and that included me keeping my mind on tonight. As if sensing where my mind went Morgan takes my hand in his and gives it a gentle squeeze, I turn from the window and offer him a small smile.
“Three months and you will be you again, all that matters is our future not your past.” I give him a small nod before looking out of the window again. We spend the rest of the journey in a comfortable silence, and I’m grateful that Morgan knew I needed to ground myself again.
By the time we arrived Shaun had informed us everyone was present, Enzo and Lucas were there both with dates. I had to hold in my chuckle at this, of course he would bring someone. Probably hoping I would get jealous; I can’t wait to give him the divorce papers as Savannah again.
I also can’t wait to see his reaction tonight, if everyone else’s is anything to go by he won’t be able to keep his eyes off me. As our car approaches the entrance I’m snapped out of my thoughts by Morgan squeezing my hand again, “You ready to do this?” I give him a curt nod in response.
Morgan gets out of the car and then reaches back in for my hand; I take his and exit the car. When I step out the flashes and shouting start, my uncle is very important in Italy and in turn here as well. His missing daughter getting married is a big deal, we expected this and what better way to spread the news someone tried to have me killed.
When I’m ready they will be told of Sirena’s death and then comes me, my death was kept quite from the media. As far as they’re concerned things went wrong for Enzo and me, apparently I’m sunning myself on some subtropical island licking my wounds.
Both our families are in the media, we have some of the most successful business in the world. Of course, rumours spread but proof has never come easily, to the outside world we are just another wealthy normal family.
Morgan and I plastered fake smiles on our faces and headed straight into the venue, we didn’t stop for questions because there will be plenty when I’m wheeled out of here supposedly shot.
When we get inside there is a set of large double doors in front of us, that is the entrance that our guests used. We instead walk straight past them and up the stairs to the first floor, there was another set of doors that led to a balcony in the grand ball room.
The balcony had a grand staircase that led down to the middle of the ball room, I think this was my mother’s idea. Making my entrance even grander than the one with Enzo, I knew this would irk him.
When we reached the top of the stairs I froze for a second, Morgan was holding my hand and nearly fell backwards as he continued walking not realising I had stopped.
He looked back at me with concern before coming and cupping both cheeks with his hands, I took a couple of deep breaths, “Hey, hey I’m here ok?” I looked into his eyes taking more breaths.
When I was calm enough I nodded to him, he dropped his hands from my face and re-took the hand he was holding before. Morgan gave my hand a reassuring squeeze before we both started walking again, I don’t know what I’m more nervous for the getting shot or having the surgeries again. I know the next few weeks are going to be f*****g painful for me.
When we get to the doors Morgan looks down at me with a dashing smile, “Ready?” I take one more steadying breath before nodding. He turns to the door and they open for us, as we step through there is a collective gasp as all eyes turn to Morgan and me.
