Chapter 14

749 Words
Charlie gives me a nervous smile, “I think you need to fill me in.” I take a breath and start to explain everything to her and when I’m done, I wait for her response with bated breath. She lets out a deep breath herself as if she had been holding it in the whole explanation, she looks at everyone in the office before her eyes settle on me again. Charlie sighs, “Look, I’m not going to pretend I like this because I don’t. I’ve not been part of this world for long, but I trust you and will do what I can to help you punish the people that hurt you.” I look at the tears in her eyes as I understand what she means, no one knows or has realised that Charlie is the nurse that looked after me after Enzo had me kidnapped. Charlie and I share an unbreakable bond, she was the first person to know about my miscarriage and she supported me. She promised she wouldn’t tell my family and she kept that promise, if I ever truly trust someone again, she would be one of the first. I owe her a lot, if it weren’t for her help at the hospital I would have drowned in my own grief. I couldn’t see a way or reason to carry on back then, she made me realise what I needed to do. She nursed me back to health on more than one occasion, and she is about to do it again. Once we have all agreed a plan of action we leave the office, I need to call Taylor and tell him how long they have to make my new suit. I also have to decide on a design for it and quick, so that’s what I do, I head straight to Morgan and the other ladies. This is not going to be fun, but it has to be done, I can hear them squealing before I’m even through the door. As I clutch the handle to enter, I can imagine Morgan rolling his eyes at their antics, I have to suppress my smirk and chuckle as I take a final breath and enter my own form of hell. Morgan’s POV This has been f*****g torture, Sirena definitely knew what she was doing sending me in here first. When I first got here mum and Val screamed so loud, I went temporarily deaf, now I know why Sirena didn’t want to deal with them. For the last hour all it’s been is, what about this colour, what about that flower. Don’t even get me started on the outfits so far, we are matching but we haven’t picked a colour yet. I smirk knowing Sirena’s will have to be specially made for the armour that she will need, I decide not to tell them about it. I don’t want to take that away from Sirena, and I can’t wait to see their reactions when she does tell them. I’m distracted from my thoughts by the women screaming in excitement again, I turn to see what has re-hyped them up. Sirena walks in and flinches when our mothers screams hit her eyes, I have to bite my tongue to stop from laughing. She walks in and I give her a mock frown, she gives me an apologetic look as she walks over. She is about to sit in the seat next to me when I grab her waist, she squeals as I place her in my lap leaning into her ear “Just wait mo chroi (My heart).” I smirk as I feel her shiver, she loves when I say her pet name in Irish. Our mums both gush as they watch us, when they take their seats again Sirena turns to me, “So what have you told them?” I shrug, “What you asked me to, the date of the announcement party.” I almost laughed as she realised what I meant. Sirena looked at me and mouthed ‘You f*****g barstard.’ I did chuckle at that causing our mums to look at me confused. I calm myself before looking at them, “Sirena has something to explain to you both.” I feel her huff in my lap and chuckle softly. Sirena looks at our mothers and says, “Take a ride with me?” Val nodding knowing what this meant, while my mother was confused but agreed anyway.
