Chapter 18By the time we arrived at the campsite, Jeri and Sam both accomplished all tasks assigned to them. The vehicles and the jerrycans were all topped off with fuel and the four fuel tanks for the helicopters were also topped off. Sam had all of the supplies Toby requested for building the loading platform. John got busy filling both helicopters with fuel at the airport. While we told everyone in the campsite of our adventures, Charlie began studying the maps looking for possible routes the vehicles could take to the crash site.
Charlie came out of his seclusion in the media vehicle. He announced, "I believe I've found a decent route to the crash site. I estimate the travel time to take them about 60 hours, which is basically 2.5 days. The first 64 miles is simply heading back toward
