Chapter 8We broke camp in In Salah about 7 a.m. The terrain for today's travel will become very treacherous and challenging because of the peaks and valleys and the occasional sharp bends of the road circumventing the huge rocky boulders. Straight roads will be mostly nonexistent. If we had time to spare, we would have stopped frequently in the rocky areas and sent our drones out on reconnaissance missions looking for the DC-3 airplane, but we decided we could later send our helicopter and cover a much broader area in a shorter amount of time. We have hopes of finding existing records of the airplane radio transmissions or the ground controller transmissions. Maybe even the last known coordinates of the plane. It would be nice to be able to obtain maps of the regions that were searched so
