Evelyn casually opened one, and as she read, her face turned pale.
Watching Gavin play with Susan, she asked, "Gavin, William was arrested, and Alice is now the general manager. What's going on?"
She only knew that Gavin had a good relationship with William but wasn't aware of Gavin's connection to Yara & Gavin Group. The news had just informed her that the woman mentioned in the headlines was Alice.
"William turned himself in. There's more to the story, and he'll be out soon. But for the next few days, Alice will have to handle all the company affairs alone," Gavin explained.
After a moment's hesitation, he added, "I'm the chairman of Yara & Gavin Group. Promoting Alice was my decision."
