My Mate or Chosen Mate

I'm handing Nathan his plate I made for him when our front door swings open to an angry Haley. Her eyes were stained red from tears, and her eyebrows furrowed in what seemed to be pain and hate. Be careful! Alex says. She started surfacing, sensing a potential fight between her and I. Nathan then stands between us and growls.

"She's MINE. Stand down," he says using a tone I've never heard him use. I felt even my wolf lower her head slightly to the tone. Gammas tone. It has to be. No, Alesia, that's his Royal command. Royal command? Only Grace was a royal?

Haley bowed her head, tears draining from her eyes. I saw her fists clench. Nathan stood there in front of me with his hand on my waist, staring Haley down.

"How dare you challenge her openly when I've told you she's my mate! Alpha and Luna know she is my mate. If you challenge her, you would kill my pup. That's a death sentence." He growls.

"I won't let that happen. For either of you." He says his canines extended, showing her she would have to kill him before touching me.

Nathan let me talk to her.

No. She wants to hurt you and my pup.

She won't. I've had a great teacher, and you would be there next to me to make sure nothing happens.

"Haley," I said while nodding to Nathan and moving next to him.

"I know I'm the last person you want to hear from, but I understand you. You love him. What's greater than love? I've been shown so much here as a newborn, and I'm incredibly thankful for it. I'm not doing this to hurt you. Nathan is my chosen mate, making him my mate. I don't want a fued or anyone to get hurt. I genuinely want to apologize for how I reacted a few months ago in the kitchen. All this is new to me, and you're really pretty, strong, and smart. You deserve a man who is gonna love you equally. Your future mate is out there looking for you. Keep your eyes on him. You haven't lost anything or anyone." I squeeze Nathan's hand and move towards her. I hear him growl protectively.

I reach for a tissue box and hand it to Haley. She's glaring at me.

"I rejected my mate. After Rose died, family and friends came to the pack, and I found my mate within the group who loved her. I saw Nathan all alone, so I rejected my mate, telling him I wanted Nathan. I chose Nathan, and I thought with time he would be my Mate. I've lost my mate. I don't want to lose Nathan." She looked possessed.

Alex surfaced and let out a deep possessive growl. I quickly tried to calm her down and shut her out to the back of my mind. That wasn't what Haley needed. I rested my hand on her arm,

"Haley. I'm so sorry about your mate. That must have been really hard on you. I can't imagine the pain you went through. Maybe he's still waiting for you? Nathan is my mate, and we are willing to defend each other. He has chosen me and I need you to understand that."

Baby, what she's done is punishable. We can't let her off the hook.

Yes, we can. She needs to know this is not okay behavior, but to know we are willing to put her in her place if necessary. I don't want to solve this using violence. If she doesn't get the friendly warning, then I'll let you guys handle it the way it needs to.

She's challenging me.

I see her starting to move, and I turn to her. She's shaking. Obviously hurting.

"I really thought you would change your mind and move aside if I stood up for myself. We had more history. If she's what you want, then I'll try and let it be." She said, looking at Nathan. I nodded towards her, taking in her hand and hoping to calm her.

"Thank you, Haley, for trying." I smile at her.

You'd be a great Luna. My rank is a gamma. You deserve more. You're strong, and you'll be great at helping me stop fights on the mats in training. You are so calm. The moon Goddess couldn't have put a more perfect woman into my arms.

I smiled internally at that. I flashed him my black eyes to let him know both Alex and I enjoyed hearing that.

I walked Haley out and wished her to feel better. I don't want her to challenge us. I want her to see maturity in me and him for deciding this. She saw me as weak, human, and fragile. I am none of those things anymore. I am strong, and I won't let that slide. I just think there are better ways to solve it before getting physical.

Once the door closed, Nathan swooped me up. "MINE." he said. I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck as he carried me to our bedroom. I snuck my nose into his neck and inhaled him. His scent drove me nuts. He looked at me with his black eyes.

Baby, I want you. I said.

I know, baby, I can smell it. I want you too. NO ONE will question who you are to me after this. He grinned, winking at me.

I smiled. "I thought you wanted to make it special?" He nodded.

"I am. Not in the exact same way I thought I would. I'm not having anyone treat you differently. You're mine, and I need you to have the tone of authority if you need it." He just wanted me to have a cushion of protection just in case. I get it. I wasn't gonna argue with him because my oh my he looked gorgeous and my body craved him.

He started to set me down and I obliged leaning onto our bed and I let him take my leggings off.

He kissed my tummy and smiled whispering "hang on, dude, it's gonna be a bumpy ride." I laugh at him as he pulls at my ankles, making me come closer to him. His shirt was too large on my body, so it covered my v*gina. He looked up at me, smirking and sending a wink my way. Ohh this is gonna be good, I thought. Yes, it will. He's gonna mark us!! Alex practically sang. He started kissing up from my ankle to my inner thighs and lightly brushed his lips over my folds and smirked. I felt him nibble my hips and pulled on my shirt, making me watch him in anticipation. He moved my legs to the opposite sides and slid his tongue over my folds, creating perfect soft circles. He knew how I liked it. I felt a moan escape my lips, and he smiled, grabbing my butt and pulling me closer. I felt my back arch to him when I felt him slip a finger inside and started rubbing. I sat up on my elbows and watched him work his magic. He pulled his finger out, put it in his mouth, and groaned, closing his eyes, and then slipped his tongue into my folds. I let out a moan so sincere it made him work faster.

"You taste good, baby. " he says, looking at me. I smile, waiting for more tilting my head back. I lightly pull at his hair. I want you. I linked him. He grinned and moved up to kiss me. I could taste myself on his lips as his tongue entered my mouth. He started kissing down to my cheek, to my neck, and to my collarbone, making me moan slightly. I felt his lips surround my n*pples and then back down to my folds while using his fingers to play with my n*pples. I felt my back arch when I became close, and he let out a growl.

He said again, and as soon as he said it, I came, and he lapped me up like he hadn't eaten anything for weeks. You taste so good, gorgeous. He rolled me over, putting my stomach on the bed and my feet on the ground, and pulled my hair, nibbling my neck. I felt pleasure everywhere.

Tingles ran along through my whole body. I remembered when Nathan said that when you're mated, you have sparks run through your body. I never had sparks, but I always had tingles from when he touched me. Maybe I should tell him? Or ask him if he feels it?

The tingles? He shook his head.

"Tingles, sure, but they're not sparks." He said.

I felt him put his hand on my lower back as he aligned himself at my entrance. Alex purred at this. I tried to look back at him, but he pushed into me, letting me feel all of him. We both moaned while I grabbed the sheets. I felt him kiss along my neck, and I gasped. Feeling him go in and out with his hands on my hips made me crazy. I felt Alex surface and let her get lost in the sensation. "Mark me," She said while letting me turn myself over. I wrapped my legs around his waist. I could feel Nathan struggling for control when he moved my hair away from my neck. I felt myself turning my head to give him clearer access. He then shoved deep inside of me, making me lean forward. I saw his canines elongate, and he said, MINE. His teeth entered my skin, and I saw stars. What the f*ck. An org*sm so big I've never felt anything like it. It felt so good that I wanted more. I pulled him closed and placed my hand on the back of his head, not wanting him to release me. I felt myself come all over him. Once the org*asm slowed, I felt those amazing sparks everywhere our skin touched. He kissed me and smiled. I felt him lick my neck to seal the mark. That was amazing. He is our mate! Alex purred. I looked at him, and he nodded his head. "My turn?" He nodded again to confirm. I let my canines grow and placed my hand along his jaw, slightly positioning him how I needed to. I blinked a few times, holding Nathan close. "Mine." Alex purred back. She was so happy she was prancing around.

"I love you, Nathan. " He laid there holding me.

"I love you too, my beautiful mate." he said, looking into my eyes. I blushed and felt his true love through our bond.

We soon fell asleep into eachothers arms.

I woke up two hours later, needing to pee, and felt Nathan's arms still wrapped tightly around me. I tried to release myself, but he wouldn't let me.

"Nathan, I have to pee," I whispered to him. He mumbled something and released me. I quickly ran to the bathroom and peed. Once I was done, I started to wash my hands and noticed the two marks on my neck. They had a design in them. No other couple true and chosen had a design like this. The only ones that kind of resembled this were Luke and Grace's mark. Nathan walked in shortly and saw me touching my mark.

That's the royal seal? Only true royal mates can get this seal? He stared at our marks, confused. We need to talk to Luke and Grace.

I nodded just as confused as to how it is possible if we aren't fated mates.

He wraps me up in my arms, and I feel sparks spread all over my body. I hold him close, not wanting this feeling to go away.

"You're gonna end up on this counter if you don't stop doing that beautiful. " I smile at him.

"Good." I kiss him urgently, and he abides by my needs. He lifts me up onto our counter, and he exhales loudly. I pulled away and looked up at him, confused.

I saw his eyes glaze over.

"I have to go. James is on the floor in agony. I wouldn't mind it, but no one has given him any kind of punishment lately. They've been trying to link me all night." I hold him tightly. He grins. I kiss him gently and trace my fingers down his chest to his manhood. I get down on my knees and take him in.

"You're trouble," he says to me. I pull back and smile mischievously at him.

"I know. Go deal with him, and I'll be back here just like this when you come back."

I watch him get dressed quickly and kiss me goodbye. I roll back onto bed and relive what just happened. I have a mate who loves me and a pup inside of me.. What is my family gonna think of this.

I must have fallen asleep stressed over my family when a scent so pure and strong hit my nose. I watched Nathan come in through the window with blood on him. Worried, I threw the covers off of me and ran down the hall. I inspected him, and the blood wasn't his. It smelled like that day in the Alleyway. I froze.

" You okay?" He panicked, sensing my fear.

"I'm fine, baby, it's not my blood. It's his," he said.

"I know, it's James. It reminds me of that night. It smells intoxicating. " I say, smelling and leaning into it. He looks at me, shocked.

"What did you say? That's vampire blood. It should smell revolting."

Alex whispered, mate? I stood there shocked. Frozen in disbelief. I wasn't meant to be a werewolf but a vampire. I was James's mate. Why did he try to kill me?

Hate flowed through me, and Nathan felt it.

"Hey baby, what's going on? Calm down, it's okay! I'm here. I'm okay. "

"No. It's not okay. James is my fated mate, " I said laced with anger.
