His Love and Her Diary

SPECIAL CHAPTER

I was about to close the cabinet when my eyes caught a pink notebook, a glittery one. Kaya naman out of curiousity ay kinuha ko iyon.

Sinimulan kong buklatin iyon at basahin.

"I never thought that a well-known engineer s***h CEO will do household chores like this?" Nakangising asar sa akin ni Caroline habang naka-pose sa hamba ng pintuan ng master’s bedroom namin.

Yeah. I am literally cleaning our room. We have maids to clean the whole mansion except our room. Ayaw ni Misis dahil sacred daw iyon room namin. And no one is allowed to enter inside aside from family and relatives in certain circumstances. I know she's weird and lot weirder now.

"Oh, hi dear sister! What are you doing here? Got tired chasing your prince charming?" I asked back trying to annoy her.

I know she's here to visit my wife. And of course, to pissed me off.

"Whatever?!" Nagmartsa na ito pababa ng hagdan na nakanguso. Nagagalit ito palagi kapag nababanggit ko yung 'prince charming' niya.

I went back reading the pink notebook. At sa bawat pahinang natatapos kung basahin napapangiti ako.

Just when I am able to flip the last page of the notebook (Penelope's diary) I saw my wife in front of me screaming.

"Oh God! You've read my diary?! I hate you, Jacobo!" Namumula ito at parang maiiyak.

She's really beautiful. Para siyang anghel mula sa langit.

Hinawakan ko siya sa magkabilang bahagi ng kanyang bewang and guided her to sit in my lap.

"You hate me?!" Panunudyo ko rito habang hinahalikan siya sa buhok. She smelled heavenly.

"Nakakainis ka! Bakit mo binasa? Ngayon wala na akong dignidad." Yumakap siya sa leeg ko. I can feel the breathing in my neck.

"I love you more because of that…" I caressed her back trying to pacify her emotions. She's extra emotional right now because she is pregnant.

"Basta! I hate you pa rin." Tumayo siya mula sa akin at kinuha sa kamay ko ang diary niya. She opened the cabinet at inilagay niya ang notebook sa pinakailalim na bahagi.

Niyakap ko naman siya mula sa likuran.

"Hate me all you want but nothing changes, mahal na mahal pa rin kita. Kayo ng baby natin." Lumuhod ako sa harapan niya at hinalikan ang maliit na umbok ng tiyan nito.

Umingos lang ito sa akin. Tumayo ako para magpantay ang paningin namin sa isat-isa.

"Okay, Mine. Fine. Sorry for intruding your privacy. Nabasa ko man o hindi yun, my love will be larger than your love for me. Stop sulking, okay? What I've read will be just between the two of us."

She pouted her lips again. Hinawakan niya ang magkabilang pisngi ko. Even the warmth of her skin makes my heart wild.

"Promise?"

I nodded. "Promise, Mine."

At sa wakas ngumiti na ang aking reyna.

She tiptoed and kissed me on the lips. I kissed her back while grinning.

"Bakit ka tumatawa?"

"No. I didn't."

"Yes, you are. And I think you're laughing at me."

"Well, I can't help it. Your diary makes me smile for no reason. I love you so much, Penelope. So damned much that I want to cut my chest and offer my heart to you literally."

"Ow, that's gross! I still hate you for reading my diary."

She pinched my nose. I really have this strong feeling na ako ang pinaglilihian nito.

"Let me tell you something, my love." She just looked at me as I wrap my arms around her.

"You know what, my love for you is greater than the love you confessed in your diary. What you write in there is just 25% of what I am feeling for you. Because my love for you is unmeasurable."

"That's so sweet of you!" She gave me a peck on the cheek and I hug her back.

Alam kong hindi dapat sinusukat ang pag-ibig sa kung ano ang kaya niyong ibigay para sa isa't-isa. Ang mahalaga ay kung paano niyo iintindihin ang bawat isa. May mga pagkakataon na mas tumatatag daw ang relasyon kapag hinubog ito ng samot saring sakit at problema. Pero may iba rin naman na smooth sailing lang. Chill lang. Konting problema at nagkakaayos na agad.

I know so much more will happen to shake our marriage. But I am more than willing to be shaken. Because I know when God is in the middle of us, love will be FOREVER.
