Since sending my daughter away, I feel lost in my mind trying to figure out what is going on with her; lately, she seems to be getting worse, and it scares me. Piot had been tracking down leads with his son, but finding a lot of dead ends; no one knows the poison that was used because she was never tested when it happened, and it has been years. We need to know what happened to her so we can fix it; Lauren is living with my granddaughter, who is her caretaker for now. She had a daughter a few years back, and although I suspect who the father is, I couldn't be sure; right now, we have a lot of pressing matters to attend to since Aidan came back. He was having a grand ball tonight, which would be the perfect distraction to raid Roman's breeding facility. Piot would go in my place at the ball, in the pretense that I was busy with certain business, hoping to get back in time to join him.

I was with General Kolie and a few of my men; we met up with Michael and his special team. The team's identities were secret; only those in the hierarchy knew their identities, except for Roman and anyone associated with him. Kolie felt uneasy tonight, and I looked at him, saying, "You need to focus, Benedict." He replied, "I am good, Elijah; I am getting a vibe, but you can count on me," and I nodded in acknowledgment. I have trusted General Benedict Kolie since childhood; we grew up together before my brother was found and sent to court. We became the three musketeers, and I trusted him and Piot with my life; of course, I trusted my mates as well, but some things I kept private for their safety. We were looking at the facility blueprints, and we made a plan; Michael was ready to do this, as Cayden was going to the ball as well, and I couldn't wait to see the look on Roman's face tomorrow at our conference meeting.

Once we reached there and started to raid the compound, things got heated pretty quickly; I knew Eric had left because we saw him on his way out, heading to the ball, I assume. Eric was a snake, and it was only a matter of time before he got what was coming to him; Ty wanted his head for sure, and he couldn't wait for the time to come soon enough to end him. I could hear the screams and the gunfire; some people were in wolf form, attacking the Fae, not making it easy for them to kill them. Allan was always cocky, but he loved a good fight and he was ready to burn this s**t down. Drago was knocked out by Michael, thinking he had the upper hand, and I ended up snapping a guard's neck as he approached me. I drained a few, and I killed a few, nothing major, because I wanted to see my mates; I was away from them too long.

I was watching everything go down, and we got the girls out; some were pregnant, and others were holding the babies. We put them in vehicles for safety, and I couldn't believe the sight I was seeing when I walked through the building. Kolie found his missing daughter; she was a shell of herself, and he was so happy to find her, and wanted to kill Drago, but the i***t was not his to kill. I arrested the doctors and nurses who worked there and killed all the guards, and whoever wasn't important, Aidan would want to interrogate them. As we set the facility on fire with all the dead bodies, the Fae decided to get cocky and put a sign on the road to the property saying, 'f**k YOU KING ROMAN, YOU ARE NOT OUR KING.' I laughed because it was so funny, then I walked over to the sedated Drogo and said, "What a gift for the boys," before I mind-linked Aidan about the mission accomplished and the surprise we had for the Cloudwater boys.

I just got back from our mission, and boy, the s**t we have seen makes you want to kill Roman, bring him back, and kill him again. Eventually, I mind-linked Aidan about our progress and let him know about the surprise we had for the Cloudwater boys. Aidan had decided to meet me at our secret holding cells to find out what our next move was with the information we gathered. I didn't make it back in time, but my third-in-command represented me well at the ball in my absence. After I rescued my daughter and Lady Stella, I was excited because I had searched for Casey for so long; it had been years, and she hugged me as if her life depended on it. I will wait for her; she had to be traumatized just like my princess, and she was mated to Delta Thorin, the Cloudwater boys' father, one of my former close friends. Elijah knew how I loved my daughter, and I tried to hide my pain; I turned to Lady Stella with her son still asleep in her lap, and I couldn't keep my eyes off her. When we reached Aidan's hidden facility, I took her to a room with a bed, table, TV, bathroom, and I sent clothes for them to change into. I made sure she had a meal, and a doctor was sent to check on the baby, placing guards outside the door. After she was settled, I knocked on the door because I needed to get some information from her, and honestly, I wanted to make sure she was comfortable. I smiled and questioned her about where she had been over the years; she explained everything, and I felt so angry about what had happened to her, about what she endured over the years because of Roman. I was taken out of my thoughts when she asked, "Will I be able to leave?"

I said, "Soon, you are not a prisoner, but we need to make sure you are safe," I touched her hand accidentally and I felt light tingles, she ignored it, I smiled and blushed not making it obvious I was smitten saying, "Sorry, I just need to get this stuff back to Michael," she asked, "How is Michael?" I told her, "Michael has other matters to attend to, but they have a surprise for you in the morning, so get some sleep." I knew she asked because Michael had passed out earlier; he was still unconscious, but I didn't need to tell her that to scare her. She respected Michael; I turned and left her to rest, but my heart was heavy because it would not be easy to gain her trust. However, I was not giving up on her, and I didn't care that she had kids; I would raise them as if they were mine. I went to check on my daughter, but she was asleep resting on Asiane's chest, and I went to my room, hoping for the best.
