No more chauffeur

It’s been a whole week since I bought my brand new red Jeep Renegade. I texted my father an obnoxious amount of pictures of it and yes I even sent a quick pic to Gio though that one I had posed deliberately next to Josh. He’d had his arm around me and well the car salesman who took the picture had said we made a cute couple. I still think of Gio constantly but I also wander around this house wondering why there’s not the slightest trace of my mother. There are no pictures in this house. Abstract paintings litter the walls. I can tell the place was professionally decorated and I suspect nothing has been changed from the original design. The furniture looks modern too modern it feels stiff and uncomfortable like it’s only for display. Since moving in I had to ask my dear Aunt Annette if I could change my room including but not limited to buying a mattress of my choosing. Josh still tries to get closer to me. The thing is I’m not interested. At first I thought it was just because of my feelings for Gio but there’s something off about Josh. I just can’t put my finger on it yet. I mostly keep to myself at school with the exception of Josh. I’m running late for my next class the bell has rung and I’m in a hurry when I run into someone. He’s huge obviously a football player. His black hair is shaved so it’s barely more then fuzz. His eyes are on me they’re brown. “I’m sorry”, I say quickly. “Watch where you’re going”, he says in his deep voice. I should let it go I’m already late but I apologized and I don’t appreciate his tone so instead of going on my way I cross my arms and glare at him. “Dude I said I’m sorry you don’t have to bite my head off”, I snap. He crosses his arms but doesn’t say anything, he doesn’t move, it’s like we’re in some weird standoff. We’re both frozen until the assistant principal comes down the hall and not only makes us go to class but gives us detention..
