Gio’s Perspective

206 Words
Since Frankie left her father has been giving me the cold shoulder. I don’t drive Valentina to school anymore instead letting Carlo. The atmosphere is different without Frankie and I find myself less eager to start the day without her. If I didn’t know any better I might think I miss her. I think of the airport and hearing her say she loved me. If things were different maybe I could’ve said it back but I did what needed to be done. She’d never be safe with me. Even if no one used her against me there’s every reason to believe I’d make her a widow. I’m not afraid to die but I’d be terrified of her being left alone. I exhale. Ginnifer is in the kitchen trying to look attractive. She probably was very pretty several surgeries ago but now everything just looks too fake. Of course her husband my boss has also had plastic surgery. My boss Raphael has all this money and power but he’s afraid of getting older. He’s recently had a facelift. I haven’t had any work done. The only thing I do is get tattoos. That’s another reason Frankie shouldn’t want me I look like what I am, a thug.
