Rebecca’s POV My eyes slowly opened. The room was still dimly lit, and for a moment I didn’t know where I was. My shoulder felt warm. I slowly looked at my arm. The mark was still there. I touched it gently and winced. It wasn’t burning as badly as before, but it was still pulsing like it had its own heartbeat inside my body. I tried to sit up. My head felt heavy, like I had been sleeping for days. It was like there’s a fog in my head. What happened?
