Rebecca’s POV  The woods were once again different. The old forests around the Last Growl’s territory had begun to transform to rugged hills covered with ruins older even than myself or even tome itself. Watchtowers that had long been cracked and broken were almost covered with the vines creeping across them. Stone paths covered in moss and twisted roots led into the shadows. Every mile east felt heavier. Older. Like we were going deep into a story that did not start long before anybody was born. I kept the lead in the front.
