For a change, Nate actually spent some time up and alert after they’d returned from the police station. He even ate the entire burger and fries meal they’d picked up on the way back to the house. Not the most nutritious meal, but still the first one he’d had in days.
Ryan tried to talk him into at least going for a conversation with the hippie psychiatrist lady up north, but Nate wouldn’t hear of that. His excuse was that he needs to be around when Tonya comes back, which was sound enough, but Ryan heard the addict’s unnatural fear of not being able to get high on a whim loud and clear too.
