22 Ryan had considered going back to his parent’s house after leaving Nate’s. Even if they had been asleep, he knew more than one way to sneak in. Including by using the key to the front door which he was sure was still hidden behind a horseshoe hanging in the stables out back. But his mother hadn’t been sleeping well lately and he didn’t want to wake her in case she had managed to fall asleep. His father was probably up drinking. He tried to hide the habit so he only did it at night, but Ryan had begun to suspect it was becoming a problem. But all that aside, he didn’t want to speak to either of them.
