25 As soon as she got home after handing over the evidence to the NYPD, Lynn had no more energy for anything other than rest. Two days of running around in the cold, fueled only by coffee and horrible memories had finally made her mind shut down. So as soon as she got home, she shoved the dusty evidence boxes from Alicia’s crime scene into one of the built-in closets in her bedroom, about two-thirds of which were empty anyway, because she simply never owned enough things to fill them. Then she took a long hot shower, ordered a pizza and did her very best to not think of anything.
