Five days later
They forced Lynn to spend not just the day but also the next night in the hospital, and when she got home, she slept for another day and a half and then ate pretty much the rest of the time. She also suffered through Shanna’s funeral and spent a whole day with Cindy and Roy, reminiscing about Shanna’s life, but mostly just sharing silences.
Now she was ready to get back to work. In a way she hadn’t been since her last undercover mission.
