Ryan didn’t own a lot of things and he hadn’t actually unpacked when he came to stay with Nate. He’d been living out of his duffle bag, so it didn’t take him long to clear the room of his presence. What actually took the longest was making sure none of his stuff remained mixed in with the general clutter of the bedroom that had once belonged to Nate’s mother. She clearly hadn’t been someone who liked throwing stuff away and the room was filled with everything from old yellowed newspapers and magazines stacked on the floor under the window, to boxes of photographs and mementos to just random things she must’ve meant to put away over the years but never got around to it.
