His Vampire. Her Werewolf.

Chapter 5

    Symphony was beyond exhausted after all that had happened the past couple months.  She remembered Rain coming over and the last thing she remembered was him giving her a hug and telling her everything was going to be ok.  She didn't remember falling asleep either she couldn't believe she has slept as well as she did.  She was awoken by the pressure of Raines arm over her.  She turned and looked at him. She was shocked to see him sound asleep next to her.  Did he not leave last night? How did I not know he stayed by me all night Symphony wondered.  As she went to wake him up Raine started to stir.  "Morning Beautiful" Raine said to her before planting a soft kiss on her lips. Sparks flew through her as the kiss lasted longer than she expected. "What was that for" she asked him trying to hide her blushing face from him. Raine just smiled and pulled her closer to him. "I just felt like it" "well I wish you would at least let me brush my teeth first" Raine just laughed at her and didn't seem to care.  " Why did you stay last night?" " I was heading out when you fell asleep and you started crying so I wrapped you back in my arms and you stopped crying. I guess I fell asleep waiting for you to relax" "oh" that was all Symphony had said before she got up and headed to her bathroom to shower and make herself at least presentable.  She heard Raine laughing at her through the bathroom door.  

    As Symphony was showering she thought back to the kiss that Raine had gave her before she went into the bathroom.  What was that feeling that shot through me when he kissed me? Was that the Mate bond thing he was talking about? Did he feel it to? These were all the thoughts that she had running through her head while she showered.  She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard a knock on the door. "You still alive in there?" she heard Raine laugh through the door "Yeah Ill be out in a few minutes give me a sec" she replied back.  She heard Raine walk away from the door and she finished showering.  She had grabbed a pair of shorts and a black tank top to wear since she wasn't going anywhere she went braless.  As she made her way out of the bathroom she heard Raine gasp when he saw her.  She had forgotten that he was still in her room.

    "Pick your chin up you dog" Symphony joked.  It was now his turn to blush a bit.  "I have a few questions about this mate bond you say we supposedly have" she wasn't sure how to word it so she just asked him out right " "ok what do you want to know about it" Raine had made his way to her bed and sat down Symphony had joined him. . "Well for starters how did you know I was your mate and did you feel the sparks that happened to me when we kissed, how does it work exactly, and can it be gotten rid of?" The last part hurt Raine. Why would she want to get rid of the bond Jax wondered to Raine. "Well, for your fist question I knew you were my mate from the moment we met its hard to explain but its kind of like when you see someone and you get butterflies just looking at that person. For your second question about the sparks that you felt yes I felt it to and I feel that whenever I touch you, its like electricity flowing through my body. As far as how it works its complicated but its kind of like soulmates that you hear about in your love stories that you read, If you die or get injured I feel it and part of me dies with you when you die. As far as you last question yes you can get rid of it by either me rejecting you or you rejecting me, however, if one of us rejects the other you feel unbearable pain its like half of you is being ripped away from your body.  I hope I answered that how you wanted" Raine looked at Symphony as she processed everything. "Well how is this going to work with me being a vampire, a sworn enemy, when your pack will want to kill me on sight. Hell your Beta almost did that night you told me what you were and I did the same? Also you said I was your Luna what does that mean exactly?" "Well for the first part as long as I tell them our situation there is nothing they can do about it because they would be disobeying their Alpha and that means death. As far as you being my Luna you are my equal in the pack the others have to show you the same respect they show me, you will be my right hand man so to speak." "Oh so even if they wanted to kill me and you told them not to they wouldn't because they would die as well" "Yes exactly" "ok last question I promise.  Why didn't you reject me when you found out I was a vampire and possibly  part of those that killed your father?" Raine was stunned when he heard that question. In his mind he would never rejected his mate no matter what. She was his other half and he had waited for her forever. Granted yes her being a vampire complicated things a little bit but it was nothing that they couldn't overcome together. It wasn't her fault that she got turned into what she is by the clan of vampires that killed his father she was not part of it. As he thought about all of it he looked Symphony square in the face "I never planned on rejecting my mate whether she be human, vampire, werewolf, witch or anything else. You are my chosen partner and it is my job to protect you and keep you safe." She was stunned at his words. She knew he felt this connection to her but she didn't realize how far that went.  She was sure of one thing he would do anything to protect her and she felt safe with him so that counted for something right?.

    Symphony turned so she was facing Raine and rested her head on his shoulder and let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding. He kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her.  They sat like that for what seemed like hours until Raines phone went off. It was Steven *Sorry to bother you Alpha but we have a big problem. I looked into the spot where Symphony had been turned and she wasn't the only one that has been turned. There are at least 500 bodies here in all stages of decay it seems like she was the only one that survived. and one last thing that you are really not going to like* Steven went silent for a minute until Raine brought him back to reality *And what about that am I not going to like more than the fact of 500 innocent lives being taken by ruthless vampires?* * They are not human bodies Raine* Steven replied *They are werewolves.* Steven went quiet as Raine processed what his Beta had just said. Those blood thirsty vampires were trying to turn werewolves. That would never work would it. *One last thing Alpha, there is a file here on Symphony that you are going to want to see asap* Raine gave Symphony a side glance. She was busy brushing her hair so he spoke softly * Bring it back the Packhouse I will be there in 15 minutes with Symphony so be ready* With that Raine hung up the phone as Symphony had finished putting up her hair. He was not happy and he knew she had a right to know what they found but he couldn't tell her now. Not until they knew what was in the file that Steven had found.  "You up for a road trip baby? he as her "sure to where?" "your new home, the pack house" she was silent but nodded. She quickly grabbed a bag of clothes and threw her shoes on. She followed him out of the house without issue because no-one was home. She quickly left a note saying that she had gone out for awhile and wasn't sure when she would be back.
