It had been almost 2 weeks since Symphony had moved into the packhouse. No one dared say anything against her in fear of death. She did manage to make at least one friend much to her surprise, it was Steven. They had a heart to heart one night after dinner. Raine had to deal with the Rogue leader in the dungeon and left Steven to protect Symphony. She found out that the only reason why he had hated her was that she was a vampire and he thought that she had some power over Raine, to make him protect her, he hadn't realized that she was just an average girl that had been turned into a supernatural being without even knowing. They became close friends after that much to Raines's happiness.
They still had no idea how the Rouges got in and were not any closer to finding out who the vampire was that turned Symphony and where he disappeared to. This made Symphony nervous and she hated feeling nervous. She did call her parents to let them know she was ok and that she was with friends. She told them that she wanted to get out of the house for a while and they agreed, one of the perks of being the baby and only girl. It was getting late and the Trio was still in Raines office trying to figure out where this vampire went. Steven was bouncing between helping them find the vampire and figuring out how the Rouges managed to get through the defense system they had in place.
Symphony stifled a yawn and looked back at the map again. There were only so many places this jerk of a vampire could hide she thought to herself. She looked over and saw Raine and Steven both slumped over one at the desk and the other on the couch. Well looks like I am the only one who knows how to get work done around here she thought silently chuckling. She went over and woke Steven first "You do know you have a bed to sleep in right? You don't have to hang out here and wear yourself out. Go get some sleep we need bright eyes in the morning" "Yes, Luna" he replied. She realized that this was the first time he had called her by her title since he met her, she shrugged it off. She then went to wake Raine up. She kissed his cheek and whispered to him "Wake up sleepy head. We do have a bed that is comfier than the desk you are laying on" he grumbled some response and let her lead the way to their bedroom. They were both out within minutes.
When they woke up in the morning they were both rested and ready to get back at it. That was the plan anyway until Symphony's stomach started growling. Raine laughed as they got dressed. They headed down for breakfast and the whole pack was there. Some said good morning to Symphony, others ignored her. Raine sat at the head of the table and Symphony was to his right. Everyone stopped talking when they sat down. Some gave Symphony sideways glares. She ignored it all. She ate in silence and finished before Raine. "I am going back to your office to pick up where we left off," she told Raine as she gave him a kiss on the cheek "I'll be up shortly, there are some things that need my attention. Ill send Steven up as soon as he is free" he kissed her back and watched as she headed up to the office.
As soon as she left the room the chatter had picked up where it had left off when she entered the room. Raine was annoyed and he left to go to the dungeon to see if he could get anything out of the Rogue leader. He mind-linked Steven and told him where he could find Symphony and told him that he would join them shortly. He needed to know how these Rogues got through the Security. It was bugging him to no end.
