Chapter 1

‘I don't understand. What do you mean they refuse our offer? Seated behind his desk, engrossed in the business report in front of him, Alexander Varga said in a shocked voice.

Five months after Isabella disappears, without knowing where she went or where is she now, everything went bad for me and my family. Anna's business failed completely and then two months after that Robert was convicted for a crime that he supposedly did committed. After Robert went to jail, my mother's charity went down within a week. And now this. It is as if Bella has putted a curse that we couldn't get rid of.

It has been almost two years since that fateful night. And I still cannot forget it. Maybe this is my punishment for what I did to her.

She had cried.

She had screamed.

His gut clenched with guilt and shame.

God, where are you Bella. Why cannot find you anywhere. Did our child survived?

‘They stated that we are not a qualify company to work with.' His lawyer responded dryly.‘They have a new CEO now and he wants nothing to do with our company anymore.’

‘But we did business with them for many years, what did change. Even when Bella and I separated last year, he said that our contract will not be brok -' he stopped when his lawyer last sentence enter his head.‘What do you mean their new CEO. When did they choose a new CEO. How is it that I don't know anything about this?’

He then shows an article to him. When it read that the Williams INC has a new CEO as a result of the bankrupt from unknown causes. And because of it, the bank was put in charge of it until it was bought by another company who until now it was unknown to the world.

And the new owner of the company now is a man named Sebastian Michaels.

At the moment that Alexander was reading the news; the new CEO of the Williams INC now changed in Scott INC, Sebastian Michaels was talking to his boss.

“Is it done? Did they receive the news that they will not work with us anymore?”

“Yes. Sara sends it this morning and said that they received it.”

“Good.” She said it with a very satisfying voice. “Very good. And they didn't suspect anything, did they?”

“No, they think that I am the president now.”

“Nice. Expect the new orders. I have to go to the receptionist to finish some paper with Sara and Jack.”

She walks out of the room without saying anything to him and left him on his own thoughts. She frightens him sometimes. He never in his 29 years of living on this earth would have imagined that a person could change so much in such short period of time.

When he first met her in the hospital almost two ago, she was in a very bad shape. God. Even now he gets chills when he thinks about it. She had been badly beaten that it was a surprise to the hospital, how did she survived it.

But she did.

Only to turn for the worse four months later when her pregnancy worsen. Two of her babies were in bad health that they had to be born and the third baby to be still living inside her.

The doctors did not hope that they will survive but she still hoped that her babies will survive the 3 months that they had to stay in the incubator.

That was the time when first signs of her changing started to show. Her ice blue eyes started to turn into a darker shade. It has been like every time she looked at them, she had the look like she was blaming someone for the pain that her children were having. Exactly when she looked at her daughter.

He had seen her once, and he thought it now, it had been the last time that he had seen her alive.

She had been nothing like her mother except for her eyes. Maybe that was the reason why she looked at her daughter more than her son who was like her except for his eyes.

Two days after her child died, he took the courage to ask her.

“Why did you have his children, Isabella. When every time you looked at her, you had that look on your face.”

She looked at him with that blank look in her eyes.

“Because my daughter looked just like him and my son looks just like me. And every time I looked at her, I ask myself why did I put such a curse on her little body. She suffered from my mistake. Because if I had thought better before I married him, she would have been alive now with her brothers.”
