Once again enveloped by the icy river water, Alanna felt her mind becoming much clearer. After swimming a distance, she carefully searched the surrounding area for any signs. Fortunately, the uncontrollable werewolf didn't seem to be pursuing her.
Indeed, the werewolf was not chasing her. Instead, he was kneeling in the cave, fists clenched, muscles bulging, his crimson pupils glowing faintly in the darkness like a true beast!
The pain and bleeding from Alanna's stone attack had briefly brought Quinn some clarity. He realized he was losing control, and his mind raced with suspicions. Was today's repeated loss of control due to the suppressant failing? Or had someone tampered with his medication?
Regardless of the reason, he refused to be manipulated. Picking up the stone, he pressed the sharp edges into his flesh. The pain and bleeding helped maintain his lucidity and gradually restored his memory. There had been someone else in the cave with him.
However, the rush of water and the chaos of his frenzied senses muddled his judgment.
A blurry figure and the reactions in his body sketched the touch and shape of a girl. Indeed, a girl who had escaped the brink of his control was no ordinary person.
The werewolf picked up a piece of torn fabric and sniffed it. Was this her scent?
Interesting. He would surely find her again!

Alanna didn't know how long she had drifted in the subterranean river caves. Her extensive hunter training ensured her stamina and willpower were superior to most, keeping her from despair in even the most challenging situations. To keep herself alert, she even began humming, "I'm in love with the shape of you... I'm in love with your body..."
Wait, what was she singing? She certainly didn't love his shape or body! Scenes uncontrollably flashed through her mind: her legs spread wide by the werewolf, her loud moans, and being brought to an unmatched climax by just his two fingers...
The delayed sense of shame heated her already chilled body from the river water, igniting a burst of energy to flee faster. Just then, she sharply caught the glimmer of light ahead.
As she burst out of the cave with the river, the world outside was nearly dawn. The surroundings were unfamiliar. Alanna roared furiously and gave the rising sun the middle finger, a salute to an unforgettable night!
A breeze blew by, and her lower body was as chilly as a peppermint candy! Her riding shorts were nearly torn apart. That damn werewolf truly was a beast! Alanna took off her jacket, tied it around her waist, and finally took a deep breath of relief.
Back at the school, after showering in the restroom, Alanna grabbed her medical kit to treat the wounds on her body. The shoulder wound, though shallow, had been soaked in river water all night and, unsurprisingly, was inflamed.
After escaping the cave the previous night, she had already realigned the dislocated bones in her wrist, only now feeling the acute pain. As she bandaged herself, she muttered softly, "Damn it, I was first bitten by Quinn, the CEO of Blackstone Group, during his frenzy. Then, I was involved in a car accident and got plunged into the river. Even worse, I got caught up with another werewolf in heat!"
While muttering, the overpowering heat and irresistible force of the werewolf in that dark cave surged through Alanna again.
No, it couldn't be right. A swift thought slid through Alanna's mind.
Encountering an uncontrollable werewolf on a full moon night was nothing new, but to meet two in one night who could overpower her like that was exceedingly rare!
Just as she pondered deeply, the preoccupied Alanna was caught off-guard by a sudden bump. Someone deliberately hit her inflamed, swollen shoulder. Without turning around, she knew who it was.
Sure enough, it was her old "friend," Elisa. Alanna looked up and saw her radiant face. "Hey, look at you now, so pathetic. The Hunters' Organization is getting a worse rep because they keep recruiting trash like you. Don't you think?"
Alanna ignored her taunt and chuckled. "Still bitter about not getting picked back in the day?"
Her simple remark caused Elisa's face to twist. "Only God knows what tricks you used to get selected!"
Elisa noticed the torn shorts in the dirty laundry basket, latching onto it like she had found something incriminating. Then, she sneered scornfully. "Looks like your shorts got ripped last night! Did someone rip your shorts off during the hunters' selection, too?"
As soon as Elisa finished her taunt, Alanna, using her uninjured hand, forcefully pushed Elisa against the restroom cabinet, causing a loud crash accompanied by Elisa's exaggerated scream. Alanna took a step closer and hissed, "My dear Elisa, if you keep spouting nonsense here, I promise I'll tear your skirt and underwear into pieces and hang them on the flagpole in the auditorium!"
"You wouldn't dare! Don't you know who I am?" Elisa struggled to break free, her voice tinged with defiance. "You won't be smug for long!"
Elisa seemed to hold some secret knowledge and said in a sinister tone, "Last night, Mr. Ryder, the CEO of Blackstone Group, was attacked. Evidence suggests that extremists from the Hunters' Organization were involved, and your motorcycle was found at the scene! You're one of the attackers!"
How had she suddenly become an attacker? Alanna cursed under her breath and frantically pulled out her phone, desperate to check the news for any related reports. Her anxiousness pleased Elisa, who laughed joyously. "You think they'd broadcast something like this to the public? Only someone with a decent family background like me gets to know these details."
Arrogantly, Elisa mimicked a shooting gesture towards Alanna. "Blackstone Group won't let you off. You're doomed, darling. Good luck!"
Elisa left with a cheerful skip, leaving Alanna in shock. Her earlier speculations were actually true? The uncontrollable werewolf she had encountered in the subterranean river cave was indeed Mr. Ryder?!
