Linc was tall and handsome, but his pallor and the bulging veins on his hands as he played the violin gave him an unhealthy, reclusive aura. Alanna placed coffee and bread on the small table. "Have you had breakfast?" Linc stopped playing, twirling the bow deftly in his hand without looking at her, his gaze fixed blankly out the window. "Is it morning already?" Alanna paused and stepped in front of him, speaking softly, "Yes, the sun is almost hitting the window." At her words, Linc suddenly reached up and yanked the heavy curtains closed, blocking out the morning light. He turned toward Alanna, though it wasn't quite right to say he looked at her.
