Kelsie’s POV

I run and run and run. I did not dare to stop. As I was near the attacked place, my heart started beating faster.

After a few more seconds, I hear the howling of the wolves, but I did not hear Mr. Boris.

I can feel my heart beating as if it will jump out of my body. I never experienced being this scared.

After a few seconds, I reached the said place. My eyes widen and I quickly hide behind a tree.

I crane my neck to watch the scene in front of me.

Mr. Boris is standing in the middle, guarding himself and being attentive for the possible attack while twenty wolves are surrounding him.

I look back, hoping for the backup. But as expected, there's none.

Given the timeframe, I guess it's either Jinky just got back on the pack territory or still reporting to Connor.
