"A reaper?" Blade uttered out as he listened to Addie's story.
They sat down the school's open oval over the bench in the shade of the big tree. Blade decided for them to have a chat there since its one of the place he knew that have privacy on it.
It was weird. A reaper would come and hurt or toy around with a human girl isn't like... a reaper. he thought as he observed the young victim. But if he was certain of it, he already knew why was she toyed by such.
"I don't sense anything about you." He said again. Face straight and without emotions to feed her content.
The moment the boy said those words, she sighed in relief. "Then they just thought I'm someone else right? They will not come again--"
"I said I can't sense anything." Blade repeated clearly.
"But isn't that something good--"
"It's not. There's nothing to you... soul, or anything that might at least prove me that you existed. you're an empty human body." now he cleared what he meant. Then he stood up, placing his hands on his pocket as he set off to leave the girl.
From what he had confirmed, Addie was dumbfounded. Still, the information was in the process of her mind. Blade can't sense anything like soul? she thought. Was he some kind of psychic? But if he tells the truth... What then is she? He said: human body, right? Now the girl started doubting herself. She scratched her neck in frustration as she think over and over.

Ethan was amused of the girl's expression as he watch from afar. He was inside the school building two floors above as he looked at her on the window view being confused of what Blade had told her. It was one of the funniest looks he loves to watch. A person doubting itself whether she's a mere human or not. And a good expression too for a person who was suppose to ignore that kind of nonsense that a person you don't even know will say. But she believe it that easily! She didn't even thought that the man was just playing pranks nor did she thought that he was crazy.
"You're insane." A voice spoke up right next before him.
His smile turned into a grin as he faced Blade who was looking straight to his eyes. "What?" He asked innocently.
"A reaper would never play any being." Blade began. "And I never sensed any presence other than yours. Why did you toy her?" He emphasized staring at his brother suspiciously.
Now Ethan's grin turned more as he stared at Blade with amusement. "You're suppose to be glad. I ate the reapers before they destroy her. And they tasted more like brewed coffees." he said licking the slit of his lips with delight.
"Why would I be?" Blade retorted back.
"Because a soulless human shell is useful to a soft hearty little brothers like you." Ethan said much more likely to annoy blade.
But instead of getting annoyed, Blade gave a sharp inhale to what Ethan will say. His eyes showing interest to his words. It made Ethan felt amused so he explained.
"She will get possessed, and you eat the soul that will possess her. Then, in conclusion to your little soft conscience, you won't get to kill anybody. Sounds promising, isn't it?"
"What is she?" Blade asked.
"Oh, that's a secret that you'll get to find out when you hang out with her." Ethan replied.
Blade didn't seem good about hearing his reply. But that's not Ethan's problem anymore. He just smiled and began to leave him behind next to the open window of the corridor where he was watching Addie. His smile still attached to his mouth like it was made to annoy anybody who he talks to.
And if only Blade didn't know his own brother, he could've thought that the man was just making fun of him or he never takes him seriously because he's the kind of person who only made a serious face once in a hundred times or when needs be if he was triggered by someone more annoying than him. Blade knew exactly what Ethan's outer outlook is, but when it comes to what he's thinking, he was always caught by surprise. Just like now. When he mentioned of Addie's contribution to him. He never knew that his brother would suggest such a thing to him either.
"She's just a mere human... for now." He whispered in the air before he disappeared in Blade's eyes.
The boy who was left there hissed. "I don't even know you anymore when you speak something so productive." He uttered in the air as if he was sure that Ethan can hear his voice. But he knew that his brother was listening close by...
