Addie leaned on the couch when she woke up that morning.
Blade took her with him in his house, suggesting that the girl should stay with him to be more guarded. At first, she didn't want to stay. But the boy insisted that she's safer in his custody that's why she just gave up.
She sighed and filled her eyes to the surrounding of Blade's house. He lived in a flat and its found in the fourth floor of the building. The house was painted navy blue and white. It was pretty masculine and obviously neat. It smelt strong but its actually good and attracting. In the walls, there are frames hanging. The images were all paints of ancient weapons and warfare. In the other hand, his living room had three sofa that faces a big flat television and a glass living room table with a vase on it blocks in front. While his kitchen was surprisingly as neat as everything in the place, the choices where he would place his frige, plates, pans and all the kitchen wears are neatly presented. It felt completely self conscious as she compared his flat to their house since Addie couldn't even keep the house as flawless as this.
"Hey." The girl almost jumped in surprise as she heard Blade called peeping from the kitchen.
She looked at him with wonder. "What?" She asked.
"Well, breakfast." He said like it was the most obvious thing in the world that she's the only one who doesn't know about it.
"Oh... Yes." Addie quickly stood up and ran after the kitchen thinking that she doesn't want to waste the boy's time. When she reached the dining table, she found the food also perfectly presented in front of her. Feeling a complete shame about her cooking presentation compared to him, she doubt if he would ever eat foods below his standards.
"You don't like it?" He asked.
"Oh its not like that!" Addie quickly said. "Its just that... Its really embarrassing that you have to do all these for me." She said with a slight blush.
"Its actually more than of the help you will give." Blade countered.
"But I haven't done anything." The girl said.
"Well... Yet." He said and lightly pushed her on the chair to make her sit. And she did. "Don't worry. If you think I'm letting you here because I'm a nice person, better not continue because you're paying for it." Blade said.
"How will I pay you? I don't have any money." Addie said embarrassed.
"Haven't my brother explained what we are?"
"Yes? He said you guys are... Black blood?"
"Its dark blood." Blade corrected.
"So... What about you being dark bloods? Does that make me pay you?" The girl asked.
"You, being soulless will keep me alive and tamed."
"How again?"
"You better eat first. I can't be all about talking here and put you to hunger."
"Oh." Addie said surprise. "Aren't you going to eat too?" she asked noticing that the food was only for her.
Blade glances at her before turning his back and made a second turn to the sofa where Addie had sat earlier. "Even if I eat food made for man, I won't ever be full." He uttered.
Addie made a slight nod before looking back at the food and ate it with disappointment as she destroys its beautiful presentation the boy had made. It also made her wonder how Blade can be as good as this when in the first place, he doesn't even eat?-- as he says. She swallowed the food and took another spoon full and ate again. She placed her attention in front of the window as she stared over the blue skies that had a little soft clouds hanging on it. Although it was really sunny, she wasn't able to feel the warmth because the room was air conditioned and the way it was fixed added to the coolness.
It made her shrug. The cold was incredibly odd now than before. She looked behind where the living room stood, searching for Blade but he was nowhere to be seen. It made her feel a little fear.
She wiped her lips as she stood up from the stool of the kitchen, her bare feet meeting the ice cold floor that only now she had noticed as she made her way to the living room. She made steps rounding the area but she failed to find the boy from her sight until she decided to look back. Upon looking behind of her, she let out a sudden scream as she stumbled down on the floor in shock, but quickly gotten over when he recognized that it was just Ethan that had appeared in front of her. While on the other hand, they heard another slam of door from the bedroom and within a blink of an eye, Blade appeared half naked from the door.
"Addie--" He called out but quickly stopped when he saw that it was just his brother.
Ethan laughed from both reactions as Addie faced down to avoid looking at Blade in his current situation being just in his pants and nothing else. "I must have came in early." He said as he made his way to the living room and drop himself from the couch. "Good morning anyways."
"I'm sorry. I didn't see you behind." Addie apologized as she made it back to her feet.
"It's alright." Ethan assured. Still the tone in his voice was amused. "I really love surprises."
And on the other hand, Blade was glaring at him as if he had cursed him several times in his mind before making his was back to the bed room. "Next time... Learn to knock." He said with a warning voice.
"Oh come on Blade, has anybody ever knock when they came from a window?" Ethan asked.
"Wait what?!" Addie exclaimed surprised. "You came here opening a window?" she asked.
"Oh no." Ethan shook his head. "I passed through the glass of the window I didn't open it." he admitted, taking out the remote control from the couch and started clicking channels. He yawned sheepishly as he loaded his eyes with his eyelids covering the remaining sight of his orbs with his long lashes as he watched with boredom.
While Addie there was speechless from what Ethan had blurted. If he just passed by the walls, why do they have to build a door? She thought in disbelief as he stared at Ethan's earthly being sitting bored on the sofa where she first sat and kept on clicking channels.
