Chapter 59 Winter Wonderland Ellis Blake left with the assurance that he would find me the guns I was looking for. My plan was simple, in that others would be doing all the "legwork," I still "haunted" every gun shop I came across, but the sort of things I was looking for simply didn't show up in those places. Back in Purgatory, winter was coming on and things were slowing down. Prospectors were heading home or "holing up." There were no snowplows to keep the roads open, and bad storms were frequent. All we had was a small weather station to at least give us some idea of how cold it was, the wind speed, and if we could expect rain or snow within the next day or so.
