Chapter 63 Cowboy Christmas One of the things that interested me was watching my sister show Annie how to use a cell phone. Melonie got a lesson as well but for both women the concept of simply pushing buttons to make things happen really confounded them. In 1877 you either pushed, pulled, or did something very manual with visual results. This was always a big sticking point with them you touched something, a button, a switch, or brushed your fingers across a screen and things magically happened. Melinda, Mark and I all agreed that to try and explain technical details of the "how and why" of any electronic device would only bring confusion, so we did the best we could. Eventually both Annie and Melonie just accepted the fact that "OK, you push this button or several in a certain sequence
