2.Let The Games Begin!

683 Words
As I entered the stadium, I looked around at the large crowd cheering and waving. Maria was one of them. “I was definitely done with her,” I thought. Soon I was joined by my brothers. “Your Highnesses, do you have any questions?” asked the referee. None of us spoke. “In that case,  let the games begin!” yelled the referee. With that the audience roared and chanted cheers. Our first labor was Oceania.   The dry earth beneath us cracked open and a clear body of water appeared. I stepped back to allow my  brothers to jump in the water first. Tom and Mycal jumped at the same time and collided. I jumped in last as planned. “Cold,” I yelled upon entering the water. I swam around in circles for a minute. I wanted my body to adjust to the temperature of the water and to observe the environment. I noted that the sea creatures were swimming quickly south so I would travel north first. I quickly set off north. I swam until I reached a place where there were no fishes. I continued swimming until I came to a cave. I looked around and for my siblings and did not see them. “Enter great king,” a voice creepily whispered inside the cave. Upon entering the cave I saw a large fish with a gold crown on its head. “Only he that is worthy can cross the path and leave the ocean with me,” stated the fish. “Cross the path,” I repeated. I bowed deeply to the fish and then cautiously walked over to him. “Great king, I greet you,'' I said.” To my surprise after I said that I was teleported back to the stadium. I ran quickly to the next task with Tom on my heels. Meanwhile the referee announced I was the winner of the first task. The second task was Shifter Weakness. Ready, set, shift the referee yelled. Tom and Mycal quickly shifted while my other brothers joined. We were all doused with water. “Oh s**t” Lance thought to himself when he realized he wasn’t breathing out the water.  I tried really hard again and again. “It seems we have a winner,” yelled the referee. Lance looked around and saw his brother, Mycal, breathing a mixture of water and fire and then only fire. Mycal was given a head start to head to the final labor, Warrior Prince. “You are father’s youngest child,” Tom stated. Lance did not respond.  “So the son of a Harem woman wants to be  king,” Luke said. “I am also the son of a king, always remember that” I said. “You are just as ambitious as your mother.” “That can be a good thing,” I said. “We will banish you as soon as Mycal sits on the throne.” “Brother, we will see.” We were joined by chained tigers, slave fighters and a pit full of poisonous snakes at the Warrior Prince stadium. The idea was that we would fight until we were unable to for 10 seconds. I was not surprised when all my siblings pointed their weapons at me. I was able to kick Sam in the snake pit and Eric was quickly taken down by the slaves seeking freedom. They were quickly rescued and taken out of the stadium. Luke was mistakenly wounded by Tom and I was able to use Tom’s mistake against him. Soon Mycal and I were locked in a bitter fight. He had a wound that I just kept on jabbing until he had lost too much blood and weakened to the point he was unable to fight. After I was attacked by a group of slaves. We fought until we were falling down. This was customary. I knew I had won. The rest was a show for father and the crowd. The referees stepped in and stopped the fight.
