Due to Marcus’ insisting that I meet with Adrik to find out what he wants and why he had to be so violent with his mate to get his message across, I finally agreed to accept Adrik’s invitation to what he called the dotty cocktail party. It had taken a lot of persuasion and push for me to accept to go to his pack.
I knew that there was no way that alpha Adrik would be seeking peace without a fight. He was the most cunning and probably most dangerous werewolf in the kingdom, and he never had denied the personality.
I knew that his inviting me to this so-called peace-seeking party had some evil agenda attached to it, but of course, there was no way I’d go back there without a backup plan, so I placed some of my warriors strategically around his pack, waiting for a sign from me.
