Lancelot was even more surprised than Florence.
"You have a boyfriend? Since when?"
Florence held back a smirk and played along. "Right, Shirley, when did you get a boyfriend? Be careful not to get tricked."
"My boyfriend is amazing. We just started dating recently!" Shirley replied quickly.
"Well, that's wonderful news, Shirley! Looks like we're going to be a double-date crew. When are you bringing him over to meet us?" Florence teased with a smile while Lancelot also turned his gaze toward Shirley.
Caught in her own lie, Shirley had no way to take a boyfriend with her. She fumbled for an excuse. "Well, we just started dating. It's not that serious yet. I'll introduce him once things are more stable."
