Ember’s POV I let out a shaky breath the moment I stepped out of Matron Tilda’s office, the only way I could think of to rein in my anger. Luke had walked out with me, but he left after muttering something about having to pass across an important regulatory message to a dorm room on her orders. His departure left me alone in the hallway, still as a statue, quietly absorbing her words. “Dad…I can’t believe this…” I muttered to myself, still reeling.
