Sixth Grade - September "I dare you to eat that," Bryce said, pointing to the mystery meat on my lunch tray that looked suspiciously like rubber. "Only if you eat yours first," I shot back, poking at the gray substance with my fork. "Deal." He took a massive bite, chewed for approximately two seconds, then turned green. "Oh it’s really gross." He shivered. "Hey Bryce,” said a voice I didn't recognize well. “Avery.” I looked up to see Cooper standing by our table, lunch tray in hand and an amused expression on his face. I knew who he was, we'd had classes together since elementary school, but we'd never really talked much before. "Want to sit with us?" Bryce asked, gesturing to the empty chair across from us.
