Court Of The QueenIt was fun to write in the conversation about who Ani and Nik are named after - Ani"s name has come up before, where she is both canonically, and by me, named after Tutankhamun"s queen. That was a purposeful decision on my part to give her a name that was recognisable as Egyptian, could be shortened to something easy to spell (because I have to check the spelling of Ankhesenamun every time I type it), and something that felt in keeping with how people would name their children - to this day, lots of children get named after royalty, so it made sense that a culture based on Ancient Egypt would too, especially as they liked to use a lot of nicknames anyway.
