Todd grabbed Nick’s shirt, gave it a tug, and retraced their steps to the first side corridor. Voices coming from somewhere just out of sight stopped them. They were trapped in the same part of the prison Todd’s cell was located in, also the same sections currently being heavily searched, with more of the prison personnel swarming through by the minute.
He heard his father arguing with the guards, trying to convince them to search away from the center section and give Todd and Nick a way to cross and reach their escape route. They did a quick search of the corridors, but there was no escaping and no way out. Too many guards had arrived, and there was nowhere to hide.
