I was lying on the bed, my gaze fixed on the ceiling fan as my heart weighed down with a deep suffocating sadness. The weight of yesterday's tension and pressure pressed down on me.
I could have been in my marital home with my baby and my husband living our best lives.
My child could have been walking by now. My child would have started calling me ‘Mom’ or ‘mama’.
