Author's POV The cold wind howled through the open spaces of the deserted railway station as the man behind the glass window slid a small paper ticket forward. “Your train will come at 9 p.m. on Platform 4,” he said in a dull voice, not even looking at her, his focus on the screen. Aria took the ticket with trembling fingers, giving a quiet nod before stepping aside as the person behind her moved into her place. She wrapped her shawl tightly around herself for safety. The weight of fear was haunting her. Everything was scaring her. She checked her watch. 8:30 p.m. The station’s dim lights were flickering as if it were made for some haunted place.
