Chapter 5 The Slick Apok strikes me as the kind of place that rents room by the hour, so I’m sure I was horribly overcharged for the full night, but the money Deacon Verily gave me was more than enough to cover it. I’d rather not stay here, but it’s the only place that Paules knows to look for me, and Verily might still keep his word.
