All eyes followed Lorelei's gesture upward. There, tangled in the high branches of a coastal tree, a slender leg dangled precariously.
Winnie was wedged between branches, her clothes disheveled and her skirt hiked up just enough to reveal a generous portion of her thigh.
"Director! It's Winnie! The tide must have carried her up there and she's stuck in the tree!" one of the crew members shouted excitedly, camera already whirring to life in his hands.
From her uncomfortable perch, Winnie glared down at Lorelei with barely contained fury. She'd awakened after the waters receded, prepared to descend when she noticed the production team gathering below. A devious plan had formed in her mind: she would play the role of a "missing person," throwing the production into chaos.
