The Accidental Luna

Evil plan

Alpha Orion paced around in his room as he wondered why his Luna and Beta would commit such atrocity against him. Peter knew him better and he knew he was being merciful for banishing him and cutting his head off the moment he laid eyes on them both. Orion thought maybe it was because they were once mates, but they already did the rejection ceremony, so any bond between Brianna and Peter was cut off. The alpha couldn’t pin point their reason, but he was going to make Brianna’s life a living hell.

Brianna sat in the empty dungeon, she cried bitterly for betraying her Alpha, but she could not remember committing the sin until it was too late.

“It was just like the vampire issue”, she reasoned out loud, her voice thick from crying so much. She gave it so much thought before reaching that conclusion. She could not remember walking up to Peter as she could not remember walking into the woods where she found herself. It couldn’t be a coincidence that it happened to her twice, but it was out of her reach to figure it out, even more so that her life was on the line.

She remained quite when she heard rattling of door coming from the entrance of the dungeon she was being kept. Someone was coming to get her. She started breathing heavily in fear that it was her execution.

“The Alpha request your presence, Luna”, the guard said while bowing mockingly

“Okay”, Brianna had no choice but to accept and follow the guard out and into the pack house where literally every pack members stood to watch what their Luna’s fate would be in the hands of their fearful Alpha.

“This woman has wronged me”, Orion began in a booming voice making Brianna flinch. “And she shall get punished, her punishment is that she is going to be everyone’s maid in this pack house”, As the Alpha as said, so shall the pack members obey.

“Yes, Alpha”, she accepted her punishment thinking being a maid is better than death, plus it would give her time to figure out what was going on.

Everyone treated her like she was beneath them, like she was not once their friend and leader. She was humiliated.

“It is time for the dishes, Luna”, one guy said to her mockingly one morning after the pack’s breakfast. They only call her Luna as mockery, nothing else.

“Yes, I will be right there”, she started cleaning the house faster so she could get to cleaning the dishes on time. She was tired, starved and maltreated, but she still endured.

“I said it is time for the dishes, you b***h”, the man said more forcefully while pulling on her hair, she hissed but dare not talk back to anyone unless she wanted to risk the Alpha scolding her.

“Answer me b***h”, he was about to hit her when a booming voice sounded across the house.

“Leave her at once”, Alpha Orion commanded while glaring at the man maltreating Brianna through his mask.

“Yes, Alpha”, the man sounded completely fearful compared to the man he was earlier trying to assert dominance over the poor Brianna.

“And if anyone ever lays a hand on her in that manner again, they shall be dealt with, is that understood”, Orion barked at everyone within hearing range and shouted it across the mind-link as well.

“Understood, Alpha”, the man almost peed his pants at the Alpha’s threat.

“Brianna, you can rest today and do your own thing”, Alpha said more softly while looking at her.

“Thank you so much, Alpha”, she immediately knelt to the ground and bowed to her Alpha who has shown her mercy despite everything she had done and him being the kind of man the tales made him out to be.

Orion nodded before going back into his office. It wasn’t like he does anything but brood in there all day. The one person who actually is not fearful of him betrayed him and he could not do a thing about it. It pained him to see Brianna in the situation she was in, but she sinned, she should be punished.

Brianna had always like Orion and thought of him as someone who people misjudged, what happed to her proved that. If truly Orion was the kind of man people made him out to be, she would not be alive and he would not bother coming to her rescue when the man was manhandling her, but Orion has saved her countless times, she was grateful.

She used her freedom wisely; she knew there was no point in running away, as the one-eyed Alpha has people who could track her down. She went into town and decided to get something to eat and maybe sit down and think back to when what was happening started.

She was finally enjoying some peace compared to the hell she was going through at the pack house when she met the one person she never thought she would see again. Maxwell, the Alpha that Ella introduced her to.

“Hey”, Maxwell said excitedly like to a friend who he had not seen for so long

“Hi”, Brianna looked surprised to see the Alpha, but she responded with the same enthusiasm as him in spite of everything going on with her.

“Brianna, it’s been so long, how have you been”, he sat down in front of her without asking for permission.

“I am well, thank you Alpha”, she responded respectively

“Oh please, call me Max”, he told her with a shake of his hand

“Okay, Max, what brings you to this side of town”, she asked because she knew he shouldn’t be near Blood River Pack, it would be dangerous if Orion was notified of an unknown Alpha in his territory.

“Business, and I was honestly hoping I would run into you, thank Goddess”, he told her like he had not been keeping tabs on her movements since he asked her to join him at the Arrow Coven family gathering months ago.

“Oh, why?” Brianna asked as she had almost forgotten their last conversation about joining him to stop an evil that was going to spread.

“The offer still stands, Bri, join me, let us stop this evil together”

“What is the evil exactly?” she inquired

“What do you know about the blood moon?” he asked her

“It is the only night in centuries that sacrifices can be made and they actually works, why do you ask?” she explained

“Because, your Alpha is planning on releasing the person that killed your mother on the blood moon”, Brianna’s eyes widened the moment Maxwell uttered those words

“Alpha Orion would never do that”, she said believing in her Alpha

“Oh, trust me he would”, Maxwell smirked because he knew he was going to get Brianna’s attention with the topic of her mother’s death.

Brianna felt air slowly leaving her lungs, but she forced herself to calm down. Orion is trying to destroy the world with such evil he was trying to unleash. She liked and respected Alpha Orion enough, but if siding with Maxwell would stop him from doing something stupid, she was ready to do it.
