As we drove out to the meeting Emily quizzed me on the ten wolves she had picked out of the stack. I wanted to remember name, rank, job, and something personal about all of them. It seemed appropriate since they all knew me. "Madam Alpha, I've never spent much time in human company before," Emily nervously admitted to me as we drove into town. "Please don't call me Madam Alpha, the humans won't understand that," I told her. All my fears were realized. This was a terrible idea. Emily would unmask us all.
