ILY Even If

232 Words
After almost a month of being in the hospital and two weeks staying at home, today is the day that Topaz was supposed to go back to school. Today was the start of being normal again, although her definition of normal was quite different from our normal. Going around her house in a wheelchair had its fun days. But it was definitely different in public. Being in a wheelchair will cause people to look, some will even stare and whisper. To most of them she was the girl who met an accident one weekend and unluckily had to live in a wheelchair forever. But that is not what we believe in. We truly believe that Topaz can walk. But that was not the problem right now. The stares was our main concern and the pity that people will be throwing at her. Jethro managed to get a yes from Clyde in using his car. Maybe Clyde knew that the car will just go around school, Topaz’s place and their home. How could you get far with someone like Topaz. That was cruel, but that was the truth. Topaz’s world suddenly became smaller. Jethro wanted to make the transition for her easy so he committed himself in getting her from her place to school and then back. Her Mom was too busy with work. They still had bills to pay from her hospitalization.
