ILY Please Stay
Jethro knew that despite Topaz agreeing that they would continue with their relationship, that she would allow him to stay, he knew that something was off and different. He wanted to talk more but Mrs. Layton already arrived with dinner. So far, it was the most awkward dinner that he had in Layton's household. Mrs. Layton was obviously tired. She tried to start a conversation with them but it was pretty obvious that she realized that there was something going on between the two of them. She was sweet enough not to ask. Or maybe she was too tired to involve herself with whatever was going on between the two of them. The rest of the dinner was silent except for the occasional sound of the utensil hitting the plates.
