Jethro was unsure if he would enter the building. Jethro was standing in the mental institution where Mrs. Layton brought Topaz. He could not still believe that Mrs. Layton would bring her here. It felt that it was too much. But after seeing the amount of blood on Topaz's bedside table, he somehow understood why. Maybe Topaz really needed medical intervention now that she was starting to hurt herself. But how did he fail to see the signs? Why didn't he have a clue that Topaz was on the edge, that she actually went beyond the edge and tried to end her life? She was a happy, fun, and lovely young girl.
